Being from the prairies I am long used to seeing the sky as a landscape within itself. With an open view across flat fields it is possible to see several weather systems swirling across the sky at the same time.

On this particular summer day the sky was mostly dark with storm clouds, but I set up the train on a gravel mound with the hope that some sun would break through.

After two hours of waiting a sunbeam emerged, lasting for less than minute before disappearing for the night.
