KEEPING LOST TIME

There was a time when we all wandered the earth like little gods. Faced with an unknown world we made it our own, imagining creatures and landscapes into being between breaths. Even our smallest thoughts were acts of creation. Days passed but we took no notice.

After taking care of our daughter for her first three years I was incredulous that she would eventually forget the rich experiences that lit up her days. Why are we destined to lose the memories of our early life? It is unjust that our most vivid perceptions of the world get confined to a locked room in our subconscious.

For this series I aim to make my daughter’s world, a place simultaneously real and imagined, visible.
